Mission Statement: To put Kathmandu on the International Jazz Circuit.

"Jazzmandu" The Kathmandu Jazz Festival is an idea put together by some young people in Nepal with an ambition to bring the joys of Jazz to the Himalayas and spread the message of peace in the world through music.

The first ever Kathmandu Jazz Festival was held in March 2002 and then in 2003 for the second time. Both these festivals were an outstanding success.

Jazzmandu will give people another reason to come to Nepal. In 10 years time Jazzmandu may be as famous as the Montreal Jazz Festival or the North Sea Jazz Festival which attracts thousands of tourists each year.

This festival is also a playground for musicians with diverse cultures coming from all around the world to share their energy and ideas through music.
